Modern Primitives: Modern Primitives have been growling around the Charlotte scene since 2011, honing their techniques by focusing on their prolific live performances. Their sound is a premium blend of loose psychedelia, wild rock, and just the right amount of boozy, hungover blues. These personalities work as one, culminating in the smirking, melted madness between garage glam and psych-rock.
Gull:
Nathaniel Rappole’s solo project Gull is best described as a drum; a living, breathing, squawking drum that cries out assorted music of creatures past and delivers it from a single unique perspective; a communal music broadcast of blood and bile left as an offering on the altar of sound.
Knowne Ghost: A band located in Cornelius, NC, whose style of music embodies Alternative Rock with influences from Shoegaze, Post-Punk, and Americana.
Daddys Beemer:
Daddy’s Beemer is an Slack Rock 4 piece from Clemson South Carolina. Daddy’s Beemer was created in October of 2016 when long-time collaborators and roommates Wesley Heaton and Dan Fetterolf joined forces with college radio friends Brady Sklar and Luke Waldrop. After forming and writing some material, the band made their way into the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts Studio in Clemson to record their first single. Reeling from the success and organic songwriting style of Penthesilea, the band continued to go into the Brooks Center to record the rest of their first self titled EP. The tracks ranged from having '90s alt rock influences to '80s new wave and even psychedelic sounds from earlier on than that.
